Legal Question in Family Law in California

my ex & I have been separated for 2 years now and have a very good relationship when it comes to our 2 daughters, ages 7 & 9. not a single issue when it comes to our children. i will be filing for a divorce... do i have to include that there are minor children? we rather not have any custody/support documents filed as we don't feel the need for them. thanks for any information you provide.

Hmmmm. Let's see. Should you be dishonest with the court? You really need to ask that? Within reason, the parents can put anything they want in the custody orders, and unless one parent is seriously taking advantage of the other, the courts will be fine with whatever support amount you agree on, even $0.00 if it is reasonable based on the parents' finances. The courts LOVE it when the parents work all this out like grown-ups and present an agreed proposed judgment and orders. So there simply is no reason whatsoever to be dishonest with the filings about the kids.
