separation
My husband I were in the middle of refiancing our home when we separated. I do not work. I am a full time student and a mom of three. Due to our credit we were putting the house in my name only. If I sign this document and put the house in my name only, is he not liable to pay my mortgage?

The equity in the house should be divided equally between the spouses. He would liable for the payment of child support and spousal support. The amount of support that he will be ordered to pay will depend on his income and the amount of time the children are with him. You should consult with an attorney regarding the facts of your case. Often the amount of equity in the house is the largest asset that a married couple has.
