Legal Question in Family Law in California
Separation of Property
It was my understand that all property in a marriage can not be disposed of until an agreement was made on division of property. My Daughter is getting a divorce in the state of California in the City of Victorville. Due to her being a stay at home mom and the home they were living in she was evicted by the husband leaving her with transportation. They had two vehicles but because of his bad credit his mother purchases the cars for him. He took the two vehicles over the past weekend and traded them in for one vehicle. My daughter has proof that they as a couple were making the payments. How can he get away with this? Is there any repercusions that she can fall back on?
Thank you,

Re: Separation of Property
She should contact an attorney. The court can order the husband to pay her attorney fees, assuming that he has the money. If husband's mother is very involved she could be joined and ordered to pay attorney fees.
