Legal Question in Family Law in California

Separation and rights to our house

My husband of 9 years would like to separate. We own a

home together. If I move out into an apartment and he

stays in the house am I giving up any rights to our

house if we end up divorcing? We are not doing a legal

separation, just on our own.

We are putting together an agreement which we will

both sign.

Help? Thank
