Was the "relationship" a marriage or a live together relationship? In California, if this is a "marital relationship", you have community property rights as well as spousal and child support issues.
Good luck to you!

Re: Separation rights/intitlements
were you in a marriage or in a meretricious (live-in only) relationship? if you were in a marriage, you would have certain legal rights under community property laws, however, if you were not married, you may still have rights under contract or unjust enrichment laws. if you would like further legal assistance, email me the answers to these questions as well as what you feel you might be entitled to as well as the reasons why. i may be able to help you.
