Legal Question in Family Law in California
Separation
My wife is filing for a legal separation to which I am not going to agree to. She doesn't want a divorce. With no divorce and no legal separation do I have to pay her any spousal support. She has an income from her retirement and draws on my social security. Thanks.

The issue of spousal support is a complex issue that does not depend upon whether she files for divorce or legal separation.
I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!

Re: Separation
Separation or divorce has little bearing on spousal support. Your agreement also, has little to do with an award against you.
