Legal Question in Family Law in California

Two Seperate Cases

I have an open paternity case in Los Angeles regarding child support and an open case in Norwalk Superior Regarding the same matter. Now I have an order stating that I have to pay to the state and then another order stating I need to pay to the Petitioner from two diifrent courts. Is there anyway I can get the Los Angeles case dropped? Do one of these cases supersede over the other?

Re: Two Seperate Cases

Does it involve the same child? If so, then yes, let one court know about the other. They don't want the extra work either. If neither court has reserved jurisdiction, then try going with the court near your home.
