Legal Question in Family Law in California

Seperation Alimony relationship

My wife left about 5 years ago, and has been living with another man during that period.

My question is about alimony. Is alimony based on my current income, or the income I had when we separated.

Also, she states her income, but doesn't state the household income she benefits from with the guy she's been living with. Is that right?

Spousal support is based upon your current income, or ability to earn if you are underemployed by your choice, and her need for support. There is a presumption that a party co-habiting with a member of the opposite sex has ha reduced need for support. You should retain an attorney to assist you on this. Good Luck, Pat McCrary

Our CA attorney could confirm this, but that is the way it is in many states. If you aren't happy, get an attorney to see if you can change things.
