Legal Question in Family Law in California
when is the seperation date?
I left my wife 6 years ago. After 2 years she asked me to move back to the house to raise our 2 boys (12 and 16 at the time) so she could run off with her new boyfriend. I did and continue to raise them without any child support from her. I havent given her any spousal support except when I moved out, $2000 per month. She has only left her yacht in florida to come back to california about four time in four years. Those were the only times she saw her kids for maybe two hours each time. Will a California judge go back to the date I left since there was never any attempts at reconciliation or will he go by the date I file for divorce, I haven't filed so she could continue to have medical coverage for her depression.

Re: when is the seperation date?
The separation date is the date that you ceased living together with the intent of being married, which sounds like 6 years ago. You have a lot of legal issues that you should get resolved and they only get worse with time. You should see an attorney immediately. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
