seprate inheritance was used as down paymentand 1/2 of value of truck

$15,000.00 of seperate inherited funds prior to marriage was used as dwn payment of 33,125.00 new truck.i was not employed at time of purchase so only ex was on title. purchased during marriage, dwn payment aquired through fathers inheritance 3 years prior to marriage. married 10 years and have total custody of 2 children. have no means of transportation or family any other means. ex drives co. truck and lives at home w/parents and other sibilngs and cars.do i have right to truck and possesion or reimbursment of dwn pmnt or ex purchase car for family anything?? please help,thank you

If the truck was purchased during the marriage, it is presumed to be community property and the court can award possession of the truck to you. Unless there was an agreement otherwise or you intended the $15,000 as a gift to her, you should get reimbursed your $15,000 or the value of the truck, whichever is less. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
