Legal Question in Family Law in California

Do you serve the childrens' father or his lawyer?

My sister served the childrens' father some papers letting him know I was taking him back to court(we were divorcered on 07/05 without lawyers). He called and asked what the papers were for and I told him the three reasons why we were going back to court. He then called and said this was the last time he would accept any legal paper that all others would have to be sent to his lawyer. I ask him to give me a name and address but he only gave me a name and said to look for his address. I don't have a lawyer. I was wondering if I can continue to have my sister serve him? I have additonal papers that I filed and I need to sent him a copy.

Thank you

Unless he sends you a file endorsed copy of a substitution of attorney giving you the name, address and telephone number of his attorney just serve the papers on him. Be sure to have hims properly served and to file the original proof of service with the court.
