Legal Question in Family Law in California

When we serve my spouse with divorce papers and he does not fiel his responce with in the 30 days, what happens? now we do not hae any kids, nor bank acounts, or property together.

Nothing unless you file for default. The Court could set up a status conference on its own motion.
