Legal Question in Family Law in California
I am have just served my kids Dad with a notice of deliquency for child support and arrears, and in response he conveniently has had a 'drastic change of circumstances' and has said he wont be paying support this month. I have gone 6 weeks with no income because I am in between work comp and state disability, and am receiving food stamps. Without his child support this month I cant pay rent, utilities are about to be turned off, and unless my caseworker can bump up food stamps I will barely be able to feed my boys.
Can I file ex parte to get an emergency order to force him to pay given that I am in emergency need?

If you already have an order for him to pay, you need to collect, such as wage garnishment, etc. You can also file an affidavit of contempt. But you don't go to court and get another order, you already have an order.
