Settlement agreement

In a divorce case with children, can

the spouses sign a settlement

agreement for everything except

custody, or do they have to agree to

everything, including custody, to

present a settlement agreement to

the court?

The parties can agree on the division of community property. Such an agreement is valid. The custody and support issues can be resolved later.
