Legal Question in Family Law in California
I severed my ex girlfriend verbally to show up to court on the 27th of October and she never showed up to court she said she wasn't aware that I gave her a court date and then she said she didn't have the gas to show up for court so our next court date is 12/1/14 since she never showed up will the judge look at where I got full emergency custody I guess does this make her look bad to the judge

It makes you look like an idiot in front of the judge is what it does. No one serves someone verbally in our system.
Proper service, dependent on the issue, is via personal service or by mail. Verbal service is not enough. There has to be a paper trail or anyone can say "mr/ms XXX" was served and they aren't here...I win. Just make sure she is personally served and you will be fine.
Service of process must be done personally or by using mail.
