Legal Question in Family Law in California

shared bank accounts on divorce case

i have a bank account that has been with me since 2006, when my boyfriend filed for a divorce he asked me if i could incorporate him on my personal account , the reason why he asked me is his ex wife embezzled all their savings account , and he is worried about his direct deposit pay every week. However it takes a month before the direct deposit took place, i remember that it was during the divorce hearing , do i have the right to complain on this , can they be sued for that . i am afraid that there are are information that should not be disclose and i also fear that they can use that against my boyfriend as his wife is really after for something.

Re: shared bank accounts on divorce case

Having a joint bank with boyfriend will place your income at risk for attachment for child support or any other judgment against him. He should open an account in his own name.
