Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have shared custody with my ex. The judgment does not say anything about out of state travel. Can I take my child for a short trip to my ( and her) family in Europe? Ex says ok one day and no the next. He liked to control and he might call police. I will absolutely return and offered skypecalls every other day.

You will need written permission to take your child out of the Country without a court order. If he refuses, then you will have to go to court to try and get a court order allowing you to do so. This is not automatically granted. You must be prepared to put on a case.
