Re: shared custody of a minor child

A parent can leave the state any time that parent wishes. The court may restrict taking the child from the state. In most cases a parent is allowed to take a child from the state to visit family or a vacation. The parent would have to provide information regarding where and when the parent and child will be traveling. You should discuss the facts of your case with an attorney.
