Legal Question in Family Law in California

Sharing in day care costs

Our court agreement states that my ex and I are to share in daycare costs. However, she repeatedly deducts expenses she believes I owe out of her reimbursements...including claiming that she has paid her father $400 a week to watch the children when they are with her in Colorado...with no receipts, proof of payment, or 1099 for her father.

Re: Sharing in day care costs

She must provide receipts and proof of the payment. This is normally done by way of 1099 form. You should either file a motion for an accounting or report it to the IRS. The court should not give her credit for these payment unless she can prove they were made.
