Legal Question in Family Law in California

She's playing dirty and keeps changing her mind and the Judge allows it.

She agreed in court during my second OSC re. mod of her default OSC which kicked me out of the marital residence to let me buy her out of the property. She was given three days to vacate the property and trashed the place. I spent 6 months repairing the property and she had all the contact info changed with the lender stole my outgoing mail then filed an OSC. to get the house back. The morning of this hearing my attorney quit and left me to defend myself. I was ordered to bring in letter from lender declaring the place was not in forclosure which I did but the Judge gave her the house and now has ordered it to be sold. What should I do other than the obvious?

Sounds like you need a new attorney. Did he/she recommend the steps that resulted in this? Still, even the best of attorneys and logic can be thwarted by an inexplicable order from the court. That's why it's best to mediate or settle items outside of court--figure out what's motivating your ex and see if you can come up with a mutually agreeable compromise.

It's difficult in divorce, but settlements and compromises will save you a lot of money and time in the long run--this includes saving money on attorney fees.

I wonder why your attorney quit. I also wonder the state of your court papers. Any attorney you retain will need a complete file with dates of pending hearings. www.PVAttorney.com
