Legal Question in Family Law in California

Do you need to sign or can someone else sign your name on a "Responsive declaration to order to show cause or notice of motion"? which was filed with the Los angeles superior court. If not it's considered Forgery right? According to the LAPD forgery dept its not forgery if he said it ok. Then why do we need to sign anything? Then I can ask a stranger to sign my name on any documents filed?

Just because it isn't criminal forgery, doesn't mean it is a valid signature. You have to have a valid and effective power of attorney before you can sign anything for someone else and have it be valid. Since it is a declaration signed in this case, under penalty of perjury, it is also probably perjury.
