Legal Question in Family Law in California

I signed over custody of my kids to my ex husband when I tested dirty for drugs. He is the custodial parent. But I have been raising our teen son for 4 years. Do I or can I have any rights to our other son? I take him every other weekend and all vacations. And I've been drug free for 8 years.
