Legal Question in Family Law in California

If ex signed a quit claim on one house, will he have any rights to new house?
My ex-husband of 11 years signed a quit claim on the house I sold in California, then I bought a house in Florida but want to sell it too (he moved in with me at the Florida house too,because of illness). Here's the question- If he signed the quit claim form in Cali, does he have any right to any portion of the house in Florida when I sell it? He's attained a lawyer saying he signed his part over in fear of his life (my oldest son was living with me at the time I was taking care of my ex because he had surgery)My ex hadn't made a house payment in over 11 years.
