Signing away parental rights

My boyfriend is having a chid with another woman and wants to sign away ll parental rights. Under what circumstances can he do that in California and will he still have to pay childsupport or provide insurance etc.

Re: Signing away parental rights

Relinquishment of parental rights will only result in no contact with the child. Unless the court orders the parental rights terminated or the child is adopted the duty of pay child support will continue.
