signing over prental rights
I live in arizona and i need to find out what steps to take to get my ex boyfriend in california to sign prental rights away of our 3 year old son. he has been out of my sons life for 3 years straight and refuses to pay his child support. my husband of three years wants to adopt my son. he has been there for the whold 3 years. can you please help me.

If the father is willing to allow the adoption, then he just needs to sign the appropriate consent form as part of the adoption, and this will terminate his rights. If he won't sign the consent, then you may be able to file a separate action to terminate his rights.

The father needs to sign a "Consent to Adoption". The form must match the requirements of Arizona law.
