Legal Question in Family Law in California

Im a single father for 10 years of a thirteen year old boy. I have joint custody . There were agreements set many years ago and one agreement is that My ex wife must consult with me before she makes decissions to take my son to the dentist etc...Well she took him to a councelor a few months ago without my knollage and he went twice but was with her in the . I told her that wasnt ok and to consult with me about setting up a meeting mutualy with one so there will be no chance of leading my son into a direction thats bias.....She proceeded to take him to another one recently without my consent again and I did go and see this person to find out he has been seeing him over five times and the first few times were with his mom. My sons attitude has changed drasticaly and its negative twards me , I believe its because of him being lead in a certain direction . I Imediatly sent the councelor a letter ceasing all activity or appointments with my son and asked him if he is required by law to first ask about court orders and joint custody before entering into a session. He said no hes not required to do that.

Im wondering the best way of dealing with this sensitive issue.

First try and reach an agreement with your child's mother that will be reduced to a court order. If she is unwilling to work with you, return to court on a motion to modify the parenting plan. You will need to spell out in your application the problems you are experiencing and ask to have the matter sent to family court services mediation.
