Sisters baby
My sister had a baby 07 a wk later has a brain aneurysm while in a coma in icu the father had his mother in california take the newborn it is now 2008 and they will not bring the baby back my sister has lost her hearing and paralized due to the aneurysym we tried legal aid but they will not help her health is getting worse she has not been able to get out of bed,walk or any physical therapy due to depression she wants to see her baby now going to be 2 years old and the father dosen't want to bring the baby to texas because he has massive warrants
for his arrest and the grandmother that is taking care of the baby said she will not bring her either.this is really killing my sister can they keep the baby away like this?

Can they? It appears they are doing it because no one is taking legal action to stop them. While your sister has a position in this matter, nothing is going to happen until she gets a court order. Sorry, that's just the way things are.

Your sister will need to bring a motion in the California county where the child is born. If she has an attorney it would not be necessary for her to come to California. Until there is a court order, father can do anything he wishes. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
