Legal Question in Family Law in California

My situation is as follows:

My girlfriend who is 17 years and a half wants to move out with me because her parents want to move very far away as we have a child together I wouldn't be able to see our child due to the distance being too great.

I have a stable job and shelter pretty much enough to support all 3 of us, here's where my problem is her parents don't want her to live with me.

Is there anything I can do? I really want to be with my family.

Thank you for your time.

Since she is almost 18 years old, your girlfriend may be able to request that the court allow her to become emancipated. She would be able to show that she has a child and that she wants to continue to raise the child with you. She would need to submit paperwork to show that she has a stable place to live and would be able to maintain her education and employment. She will need to give her parents notice of the hearing and the opportunity to appear.
