Legal Question in Family Law in California
Where does she sleep?
I have sole and physical cuatody of my 13 year old daughter. She has been spending time with her dad which include sleeping over. She does not have a room of her own at his place. He has her sleep in his bed even though we have told him in the past this makes her uncomfortable.
I think it is against the law is it? Is there a law stating that she would need to sleep somewhere else maybe not in her own room but a seperate sleeping area?
I do not feel there is anything bad happening but would like to know what rights she and I have in this situation.
Thank you

Re: Where does she sleep?
This conduct is unacceptable. However, you will have to go to court and get an order that she is not to sleep in the same bed with her father. If he then persists on sleeping in the same bed with your daughter visitation will have to be modified so that it is supervised.

there is no law against it but if a parent goes to court it is common for judges to require a child of any age have a seperate bed.

Yours is a peculiar problem. You have to apply to the court and have to get an order . The visitation will have to be modified, so that the same can be checked through an order.
