Legal Question in Family Law in California

Sole Custody, want to leave state legally

I have sole physical and legal custody of my child. His abusive father, has supervised visitation but has not excersised it for more than a year. Can I legally move out of state, without notifying him or the courts?

Whether you can legally move or not, should you move without prior consent or court order, you could have major problems. Talk to an attorney who can review your current custody order and get advice before moving. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
