Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have soley physical and legal custody of my 12 yr old and 16 year old. I want to take them out of state for a vacation that will interefere with his weekend visit. I have given him 3 1/2 months notice and told him we could make up that missed time any days it was convenient for him. He is saying he will not let them go and will take me to court for violation of visitation order. Does he have a leg to stand on?

Yes he does if you just go ahead and violate the order. If, on the other hand, you go into court and ask for a temporary modification because he refuses to accomodate you, most judges will hand him his head on a platter for being such a jerk.
