Legal Question in Family Law in California
My son disclosed physical and sexual abuse to me over the weekend. Is it possible to get an emergency hearing based on his disclosure?

You can always get a quick hearing in Family Court by following the local rules for ex parte applications for orders, assuming you already have a Family Law case on file. If this is the starting line, hire a lawyer tomorrow. This is not a situation for amateur lawyering. Also, with or without a lawyer, whether you can convince a judge to grant an order without full statutory notice and an opportunity for the other parent to respond, all with in the times set out in the codes, is another question. Meeting with a lawyer in person would help evaluate your chances.
