Legal Question in Family Law in California

My son and his girlfriend moved in to a new rental house together last month. They got into a verbal fight ( he never touched her), she called the police, he was arrested. She is now getting a restraining order against him. My question : if his name is the only name on the rental agreement/lease, does he have to leave the house or does she? She has no job and no way to pay the rent, is he responsible for that?

He has to leave if the court issues a restraining order against him barring him from the premises. He needs to get a lawyer and point out to the judge that the residence is his and not hers and she was only a guest.
