Legal Question in Family Law in California

If my son wants to live with his mother (who is married with two other kids) when he turned 18. i have two questions:

1. can my ex wife ask for child support or am i obligated for child support?

2. can my ex wife ask money for college tuition or am i obligated to pay college tuition?

Genereally the answer is no. If the child is 18 years old and still in high school you may be obligated to pay child support. That is based upon a guideline calculation which custody and income are the two largest determent. In regards to college tuition the answer is no. You have no obligation to pay a part or all of your adult child's further educational needs visa via College.
