Legal Question in Family Law in California

My son has been living with his father due to my lack of housing and other issues. But my situation has improved for the better for me. But now my sons father is planing to move away with my child. He has no job or home. I am enrolled in school and have a place for him to live. What are my options and what can I do to stop this fast. He is planing to due this with in this week
