Legal Question in Family Law in California

My son recently married. Can his wife's income be used to determine amount of child support he has to pay ?? He is on temp disability at the moment. He supports his son but there is no court order at this time.

Only the parents' incomes go into the calculation of child support. Remarriage and the new spouses' incomes do have an effect, however. Taxes are one of the inputs that the support calculation program uses to come up with its number. So switching to a married filing status from single, and the change in the applicable tax brackets from having two incomes, will have a slight effect on the calculation.
