son
i have a son who is 13 yrs old.we live in fresno county,calif.when does he have a right to chose who he wants to be with father or mother.friends havbe said at 13.but want to know.

the court will listen to him, but the ultimate decision rests with the court. Until he is 18 court will decide where he lives if the parents cannot. As a practical matter the older the child the more difficult it is to make them stay in a home where they do not want to live.
