Legal Question in Family Law in California

I took my son's biological father to court where he told the judge he does NOTwant any visitation rights but he will pay child support. I was awarded full sole legal custody of my son. Since my son's father is paying child support does he have any rights or decision making "power" with my son?

He would have to have joint legal custody in order to have any decisionmaking rights.
