Legal Question in Family Law in California

My son's mother informed me in June, I am not the biological father. Since June she has refused to let me see or speak to him. I have been taking care of my son for 11 years. What are my custody rights since I am not a biological father?

If you have been acting as the father for 11 years; you are the presumed father. You need to file a legal action for Paternity to establish your rights to custody and visitation.

You have the right as the presumptive father and the father by estoppel to exercise your rights as father. You need to bring an action in the superior court to legally establish and exercise those rights.
