Legal Question in Family Law in California

Spelling of names

If my name and my child's name are repeatedly misspelled on all cort papers, is it possible to have the case dismissed & my child returned to me?

He was taken due to unsworn opinions of 2 people, one hostile toward me and a social worker who knew nothing about me.

I was never allowed to respond to these statements and no effort was made to learn anything about me or my past.

Re: Spelling of names

Unfortunately, the answer is "no"

The situation is not all that unusual and the court can correct the spelling if necessary.

Sorry!

Re: Spelling of names

Names are mispelled on court documents all the time and does not give you grounds to have the whole case thrown out.
