Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex and I split up we have a 2 year old together. He decided to end the relationship and kick me out of the house. I was a stay at home mom with no income. We had agreed on 50/50 but its more 80% me and 20% him. He has refused to pay child support. We worked out a written agreement that he would provide toiletries and food for our son till I was able to find a job. I filled a child support action on him and when he recieved the summons he refused to send any food or toiletries for him. He works full time and I watch our son 5 days out of the week. he is also now refusing to pay for child care for our son on the days I have him so that I can look for a job. he is expecting me to provide 100% on unemployment. what can i do? I can't afford a lawyer I'm stuck and need help. Will any of this help me with a custody/support case or will I be frowned upon for lack of a job and not being able to support my son 100%? I have soley relied upon his income for the past 2 years. Please help!
