Spousal and child support

What are the laws or requirements in California to obtain or qualify for spousal support? Also, how does the court determine the amount to be paid out for child support?

Child Support 1st. Go to my web page at members.tripod.com/familylawca/ and email me the info requested and I will tell you how much child support should be. Now the first question, spousal support depends on many factors, including the duration of marriage, marketable skills of the spouse seeking support, the reasons why or why not the spouse seeking support cannot get a job, the educations of the parties, etc. As a general rule of thumb, spousal support is only awarded if the marriage is 10 years or longer.
