Legal Question in Family Law in California

Spousal responsibility for debt incurred other than joint. i.e. wife responsible

Recently married. Husband has credit debt in his own name, wife has NOT been added to accounts and will not be added as signor or responsible party. Is wife responsible for these debts? (especially in even of husband's death)
