Legal Question in Family Law in California
Spousal responsibility for debt incurred other than joint. i.e. wife responsible
Recently married. Husband has credit debt in his own name, wife has NOT been added to accounts and will not be added as signor or responsible party. Is wife responsible for these debts? (especially in even of husband's death)

Re: Spousal responsibility for debt incurred other than joint. i.e. wife respons
The Wife in your example IS responsible for the
debt incurred after the marriage in a dissolution
context. However, she IS NOT liable to the credit
card company. So, if Husband dies, Wife will not
be liable to that company.
