Legal Question in Family Law in California
Spousal Support
We ahve been paying spousal support to my boyfriend's ex-wife for 2.5 years, which is half of the time they were married. As of April 1st the support shoul be done. The payments are taken dirently out of his paycheck each week. Is there any sort of paperwork that needs to be filed with the court in order for the payments to be stopped?

Should probably provide copy of court order to employer re time limitations and notice. If not cooperate, then go to court to get order re stop. Call to discuss.

In a general sense, if the underlying Judgment provides for a specific termination date, you need an Amended Order Assigning Wages setting support payments at ZERO.
For a specific opinion regarding your individual circumstances, I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
