Spousal Support
Under what circumstances is a wife made to give spousal support to a husband. There are no children. The wife works full time and the husband has refused to keep a job. He finds jobs and usually quits or gets fired within a week. The wife makes barely enough to support herself.

It depends upon which spouse is the breadwinner. Prior to receiving an order for spousal support a petition is filed with the court and an Income and Expense Declaration is filed as well. The court makes its decision on spousal support depending upon the income and expenses of the respective spouses. There is quite alot of paperwork and information contained in these forms so that the court can make a clear decision. If you can't afford to pay, then, hopefully the court will see that and not award support. Please consult a local attorney to assist you. Good luck and thanks for inquiring.
