Spousal support

A divorce settlement reached in 1991 awarding parties 1/2 of all 401k and IRA in existance at that time. Since that time I have accumulated substantial assets in subject accounts and want to know if my spouse under any condition has rights to what was accumulated AFTER THE DIVORCE?

She would normally have rights to earnings on the balance as of separation. She would not be entitled to earnings on contributions made after separation. You should look into having those divided so that there is no question or problems. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
