Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex is behind on spousal support. Is it ok to have my son serve my ex with court papers as I am taking him back to court. He told me that he would move out of state so his drivers license wont get suspended. Can the court order his license to be suspended out of state?

If your son is over 18 years old, it may be ok to let him serve since he is not a party in your spousal support action. It is better to find a person other than your son. The judge can still suspend his license and other states will honor.
