Spousel support

If I leave my husband and do not make enough money to live on will he have to pay alimony? What determines how much he will have to pay? We have one child together and my niece I have been raising since she was 4 years old.

Spousal support is based on a number of factors. Need of the supported spouse and the ability of the spupporting spouse to pay are two of the any factors.
