Legal Question in Family Law in California

Spouses pension

My former husband was given an uncontested divorce in 1999. It was uncontested because I was never served. Many things are wrong with that. But the question I want to address is this: I used my 19 year pension to buy a home when we were married. We since claimed bankruptcy. The house was lost. In the divorce papers he got to keep his entire pension. Is it too late to contest that? I feel I am entitled to a portion of his pension. Can I still get it? Do I need a lawyer or can I just present the case in court by myself? I have no money for a lawyer.

Thank you for your advice.
